iPod Handbag/Shoulder Bag
Forget the boombox-- Brighton has introduced a handbag and a shoulder bag for iPod, and they have integrated powered speakers.The bags are synthetic leather, with your iPod residing in a clear vinyl pocket for all to see (hmm.. a bag that says "Steal me!"). Apparently, the click wheel can be used without having to remove the iPod itself.
Your iPod connects to the applifier/speakers with a stereo mini plug inside the bag. The amplifier boasts a maximum output of 0.5W per channel, and uses four AAA batteries.
Still not available in the states, but you can get one for 12,000 Yen.
