XtremeMac Announces New Tango Audio System
XtremeMac has a new high-end audio system for the iPod: Tango.Tango was designed specifically for the iPod (any dock connector-equipped iPod will work), and includes a full featured 2.1 speaker system, featuring a down-firing subwoofer. A sound stabilizer provides grip on most surfaces so that bass vibrations do not cause the unit to shift.
Tango also comes with an infrared remote which allows you to control the iPod from a cross the room. It can also be connected to a TV or home entertainment center for watching video content from iPods with video capabilities, via the built in 3.5 mm audio/video line out jack. The unit also charges the iPod as it plays for unlimited playtime.
Tango's MSRP is $199, and it is expected to ship by the end of March 2006.
