Apple Enters Home Audio Market
Apple Computer today announced the new iPod HiFi, which they refer to as "Home Stereo. Reinvented."One of the largest (and most expensive) iPod charging docks ever made, the iPod Hifi also includes a complete amplified speaker system. And with the Apple remote, you can control your iPod from across the room (although it will probably be difficult to read the display on your iPod).
In addition to the iPod dock connector on the top, there is an analog audio jack on the rear of the unit for connecting an iPod shuffle. It is also portable! You can plug it into an outlet, or run it on 6 "D" batteries.
