DIY iPod Stand

Yes, the very first iPod stand released under a Creative Commons license is here. If you are cheap (like me) and didn't want to cough up any more money after already dropping hundreds of dollars on that iPod, then this is for you: The DIY iPod Stand. Just print out the templatet, glue it to some cardboard or heavy card stock, and cut it out.

Since it is released under a CC license, you are free to make improvements and publish them.

Naturally, it's FREE.

Firewire iPod Cables from Griffin

Ok, so Apple doesn't include a FireWire cable anymore when you buy an iPod. Griffin Technology is trying to help: They now offer two, 48-inch FireWire cables for iPods.

The Dock400 supports standard FireWire, while the Dock800 is for REALLY fast file stransfers (assuming you have FireWire 800, of course).

Nothing fancy here-- just connectivity. These cables are compatible with iPod Photo, iPod Mini, and both 3rd and 4th Generation iPods.

It is not worth noting (but I'm gonna anyway) that Griffin has paid Apple's ransom and can now display the Made for iPod badge for these products.

The Dock400 ans Dock800 sell for $14.99 and $18.99, respectively.

ShuffleClip keeps your iPod Shuffle close and secure

There are a lot of new iPod Shuffle accessories appearing lately. This new one is pretty simple, and I think it should have been included by Apple: The ShuffleClip.

It's pretty straightforward. You just slip it on to your iPod Shuffle, and then clip it to something. This elegant, simple, custom-fitting holder is formed from a single piece of transparent PETG polymer. It's strong, flexible, and much more elegant than a lanyard.

The ShuffleClip is $14.95 at the ShuffleClip Store.

ShuffleStation speaker system for iPod Shuffle

I can't even imagine wanting an iPod Shuffle, but then I already own a 15GB iPod. But id you do have a Shuffle and still want to share the music, here's your chance: The ShuffleStation from PodGear.

This is the first (but certainly not the last) speaker system designed specifically for the iPod Shuffle. It folds up nice and small, runs on batteries (4 AAAs) or plugs in, and is rated at 3 Watts per channel.

I can't find a price yet-- no one has it listed.

TriPod for iPod... get it?

Yikes. AM Tech makes this strange little speaker setup for iPods (and other inverted MP3 players). The TriPod has three speakers, one on each leg, and is powered by a single AAA battery.

AM Tech is a Korean company, and I have been unable to find out how much these sell for (The TriPod is not found on their company web site).
