iBeam turns Pod into Flashlight
Here's a gift for your favorite iPod owner ('cuz they probably won't get it for themselves): Griffin's iBeam, the flashlight/laser pointer adapter for your iPod.This looks almost as silly as the April Fools joke known as the PodShave, but I believe the iBeam is a legitimate product.Just attach the iBeam to your recent-model iPod or iPod Mini and it begins emitting photons (it draws power from your iPod battery, of course).Patrick Norton has written an in-depth review (is that possible?) of the iBeam over at ExtremeiPod, and he points out it's one terrible shortcoming: You can't listen to music and find your way out of the woods at the same time. The iBeam retails for $19.99, but you can get it at Amazon for just $11.99.

Podcasts of Sirius Satellite Radio
Podcasting is getting a lot of attention lately-- and here's the biggest news yet: Sirius Satellite Radio has decided to begin distributing one of its programs as podcasts.
From Wired:Sirius Satellite Radio is latching onto the podcasting phenomenon, launching a show later this month that will feature a daily selection of the increasingly popular do-it-yourself audio programs.
The show will begin broadcasting weekdays on May 13. It will be hosted by Adam Curry, the former MTV personality who helped create podcasting. (from the MethodShop)
Backup Battery for iPod
If your iPod battery runs low at home, plug it in to your Mac. If it runs low in the car, plug it in to the DC power adapter. But what if it's going dead on the beach? On the subway? In the forest? I found the answer: The TuneJuice. This little gizmo holds a single 9-volt battery and up to 8 hours of additional play time. It connects to any iPod with a dock connector (which includes the iPod Mini). The TuneJuice retails for $19.99, and Amazon has it for $18.04.
