The iPod Photo is Dead.

On June 28th, the iPod Photo died. Now, all full-size iPods have a color screen and the ability to manage your photos!

Apple announced the new iPod at the same time they released iTunes 4.9, whose biggest new feature is Podcasting support. They now offer 20GB and 60GB iPods with color screens, and even the updated U2 iPod features a color screen.

Get a 20GB color iPod from the Apple Store for just $299 (free shipping).

A Dock that's also a Clock Radio

iHome has introduced a cool product that gives you a whole new use for your iPod: the iH5 iPod dock/Clock Radio.

You can wake up to AM/FM radio, or to your favorite tunes from your iPod. The "gentle" alarm mode gradually increases the volume, or just jump out of bed to the buzzer alarm.

Your iPod recharges while docked, and you can use it as a speaker system any time you want. The suggested retail price is going to be around $100, so it looks like a great bargain. Unfortunately, it won't ship until September.

New Wallet-style iPod Case

Speck has introduced a rubberized case for 4th generation iPods (and iPod Photos) which is styled like a wallet and uses colored closure straps: The Portfolio Skin.

This rubberized protective case sports openings for your dock cable, the headphone and control packs on top, and the screen and click wheel are available to you when the case is open. There's also a little bit of room left over for an extra $20 and a business card or two.

This case is cool, but I still prefer another product of theirs: The Tough Skin.

Get one for just $34.95.
